Our Founder's Message

When I started out as an apprentice within the IT sector it quickly became apparent to me that ‘IT People’ had a reputation for being difficult to comprehend, unsocial, and not approachable in general. This non-human approach was something that I thought must change.


Afterall, it is people that are using computers and need them for their work, so it made common sense to me that the approach needs to reflect this. On top of this the companies I was working for took a system before client approach and everything had to be a ‘process’ which had a detrimental impact on the service provided.


Having said this, I have also been fortunate to work at many great companies which in turn has enabled me to improve upon this good work. In my opinion, when choosing an IT partner do not be afraid to ask questions but more importantly look at how receptive these companies are to embracing change and working in collaboration.


When I founded PDR IT Solutions my vision was clear, to deliver value to my clients but how was I going to do that? I broke this down into three action points.


  • To improve upon what is already good within the IT sector and make it better.
  • To turn the negative whether it be technology or user experience into a positive.
  • The client must come first, after all people deal with people, and it is pivotal to build confidence and trust.


The sad reality is many people have a negative perception with IT, without knowing this is holding them back because when technology is implemented correctly it is a great catalyst to drive your business forwards.


I think the reason for this breakdown is because the majority of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) are focused on providing a ‘one size fits all’ outcome which detracts from allowing companies to have tech that works for them.


My vision is that technology is a wonderful tool that can achieve things we cannot even fully comprehend, so why limit people by giving them a rigid solution (if you can call it that) when by getting to understand the individual and the culture of the company will enable the end result of delivering a solution that will pioneer every client.


Our slogan of a Jargon Free and Trusted IT Partner is an important ethos, let’s say you ask me for a new laptop, and I tell you it comes with LRF, in your mind you’ll probably be thinking ‘what the hell is LRF?’ well, it LRF means the laptop comes with little rubber feet, so you do not scratch your nice table.


Your internal rage will likely be screaming ‘why didn’t you just say it has little rubber feet’, at PDR IT Solutions that is exactly what we will do, I’m all about making IT simple because it doesn’t have to be complicated, therefore you will not be hit with jargon.


By delivering value to you, I take pride in being able to provide solutions that work for you, whilst this is an ambiguous term MSPs are in a service-based industry thus it is crucial this service is delivered.
